General considerations for a project with us
- You are the manager for your project, and keep track of deadlines from ITU side etc. We are here to advise you on the scientific part, but can also give suggestions about project management
- All ITU staff (including postdocs and PhD students) are allowed to be main supervisor, though ITU messaging is not consistent on this. If your main supervisor is not Veronika, she might be a co-supervisor. Postdocs will be doing supervision mostly independently although Veronika will check in from time to time and help with coordinating the exam.
- Some open projects are listed on the DASYA website https://dasya.itu.dk/for-students/proposals/ . This can give you an idea about topics we study, you could also propose something related to these topics.
- However, your project should be aligned with some existing projects in the lab (either data and/or method)
- If private data is involved, at least also a public dataset has to be included
- Methods/experiments must be shared in a public Github repository (also accessible outside of ITU) because external examiners, collaborators who might work on the project after you, etc, do not always have ITU accounts
- For each student project we will plan to meet for 30 minutes a week on average, depending on the number of student projects this might be a joint meeting for all students rather than individual supervision. You are also welcome to join the group meeting where PhDs and postdocs present their work. Communication outside meetings will be on Teams (most project-related discussions) or email (signing forms, etc).

These are generic for the studies at ITU and cannot be defined more specifically for each project
