Check that:
- We have scheduled some time in the calendar to meet. In fall 2023 we are attaching these meetings to the group meetings
- You are invited to our Teams channel
- You know when/where the group meeting is. This is optional but recommended especially for MSc students. If you join, you could be invited to present your project, or another thing that you want to share with others (see Meetings and notes for more information, only accessible after you join)
- You have created a Github repo with a WeeklyMeetings file and shared it with your supervisor
More about the meetings:
These are the hours ITU officially "counts” for supervision of projects, including exam, reading reports etc: https://itustudent.itu.dk/Study-Administration/Project-Work/Finding-a-supervisor
In practice it often turns out that the BSc projects are about right, 7.5 ECTS projects take more hours and MSc thesis projects take less hours. Joining group meetings helps to get more out of meetings and in a sense creates additional supervision time.
Data / experiments
- If relevant, your supervisor will ask Lottie to add you to the group purrlab_students on ITU's HPC, where you will be able to find both raw and preprocessed datasets.
- Data is stored in /home/data_shares/purrlab_students, you can store your dataset there as well as use the existing ones. If you want to store any preprocessing on the data you need to create a separate copy and name it such that it is clear that it has been preprocessed.
